For The Love of Krupt Mob Radio Live!

It is not everyday that you run across a radio program that is so addictive that you wanna be down forever. Rockin' with OG Bumpy Knuckles aka Freddie Foxx, and his super lineup of shows is always my favorite times of the week. I remember OG asking one time how did I find Krupt Mob Radio, and it is funny that my senile behind don't remember how I got there, probably from a tweet, or whatever, but now I feel like I have a bond with the Mobsters. I am a certified music lover and hip hop is like my baby, and that is alot of what keeps me tied to KMR. Not to mention the great people behind it all including the other viewers. I have gained some good friends and have had my musical tastes appeased unlimitedly. When asked for me to write blogs as a viewer on the KMR site, I was honored and had no problem doing it, because it is something that I love to do. It be so cool, when I am left in musical awe time and time again, I find it easy to write about the elation I get from participating in the musical vibes and the undeniable "SWERVE". I think the best of 2010' though was when OG popped up and paid a visit to "Real Talk With Reko", and joked around with me and a fellow mobster MacGirl4Life. I giggled excessively, and that was because OG is the coolest, and he didn't have to call and show support, yet he did, and I was tickled beyond words. If you are a music lover, and love hip hop, then you certainly miss out, on what I come to know with KMR, as spending time with the Fam'. I am all for "music appreciation", and I definitely appreciate OG Bumpy Knuckles spending his time, talent, and his oh so hot exclusives with us mobsters. Alot of artists don't do that and that is what sets OG and KMR apart from the rest. One thing is for damn sure, I make sure that I am there for the fam', because they have shown love one too many times to me and for that I am grateful. So I am sooo looking forward to 2011', to witness some more greatness that I definitely want to be apart of. I'm telling you it will be something of EPIC proportions!!!

Are You alone for the holidays? & Good/Bad Christmas gifts! 12/22/10 Last show of 2010'

If you missed last night's show, you missed out on the fun! I was joined by my Wednesday night co-host Ms. Sunshine and we laughed and talked about ways to occupy your time if you happen to be alone for the holidays. We had Mr. Magic, one of my blog talk radio neighbors pop in and take us off topic for a sec, but it was definitely funny. I enjoyed also, talking about good/bad presents to give on Christmas. I made it no secret that I normally spend the holidays alone, and most of the time it hasn't been by choice, however, being the trooper that I am, I know how to deal with it. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the music, laughter, and interesting topics. Hopefully, the new year will bring in new music, more laughter, new guests to the show and more. Just think, I was thinking about quitting, and you should never quit something that you enjoy doing. It gives me something to do, and all laughter is healthy. I would love to thank everyone who has participated, and showed me some support, because it is all in fun, and that is also something that I like to do. How To Approach Someone that you are attracted to in these days & times 12/18/10

OMG! If you missed the show last night you missed something hilarious. I returned with my gracious co-host Ms. MacGirl4Life! We got into the topic of how to approach someone that you are attracted to, and the consequences of approaching someone in the wrong way. It was funny. The best part was when we got an unexpected call from OG Bumpy Knuckles aka Freddie Foxx, who joked around with us, and the laughter became non stop. I am glad that he got the opportunity to hear what we had been up to, and that I had this radio show that I have been doing in my spare time, because it is something that I like to do. I appreciate the support, and totally enjoyed the show. We also received a call from my sister and Wednesday night co-host, Ms. Sunshine who called in from a Christmas party with all of the girls in the background and it was some more hilarious fun, as they called me a "punk", and put me all on blast. I totally had a ball, and had an amazing night! Thanks to everyone who came through to show some love and support, and I will forever be grateful! GOOD SHOW!!

Saturday Night's hottest male celebs!!

Saturday night's conversation was definitely delightful with my co-host Ms. Nikki. We playfully swapped hottest male celebs that we liked, and encouraged the men to call in to talk about the hottest celebrity females that they liked. Unfortunately the males didn't bite, but Ms. Nikki and I had a list for days. We also had a couple of people chillin in the chatroom, Macgirl4Life, and aero1, who I later found out was one of my cousins coming to check out the show. I enjoyed it, and looking forward to this Wednesday's show. I haven't come up with a topic yet for this Wednesday but I definitely got some in the works, just trying to find out what. I will definitely will have one by Tuesday so that I can start letting everyone know. Let the research BEGIN!! Join me and Ms. Sunshine as we dive onto whatever topic we decide to talk about. I am sure that whatever it is it will be hilarious!!

The "Cougar" Convo!!

Saturday Night Convo!!

I got to talk in depth about issues women are experiencing in the relation ship world, and issues of concern with women's health. Promises to have more shows, more topics and more guests. My special co-host, was my girl and chat buddy, "MacGirl4Life"! One of my Krupt Mob Radio fam, and we totally went in talking about things women have to deal with when involved with relationships, esp. the ones that we know aren't good for us. MacGirl also touched on some of the things that could cause sour relationships such as self-esteem issues. I totally enjoyed our conversations, and was excited that we were able to do a 2-hour show EASY! I will definitely be coming with more topics, and definitely plan to have MacGirl4Life back again as a co-host, because I found her very easy to talk to, and sharing our own relationship issues and scenarios. Last Night's show!!

Last Night's show was a good show to come back to blog talk radio with. I enjoyed choppin' it up with Ms SunShine, on the topic of "Single Mother's Raising Males". We had a little participation and I was glad to hear from my blog talk neighbor Mr. Magic, who has always shown support, as I do with his show. I enjoyed being back on the air, hopefully with more to come. Of course there is still not really a listener base to my show, but I hope that eventually that will change, and besides I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE. I am not a quitter, I have to keep trying, because hopefully for me it will lead to other things. It might benefit me in someway. I am definitely glad to have access to the "primetime" hours now, that may also be of some benefit to the show. I hope that people get hip soon and check out the show. I am about to get some more of my friends involved and I hope that will also bring more listeners in. I am trying to think about the music as well, which I think will serve as time breaks between conversation, and questioning of the guests. So join me, and I will definitely keep everyone posted on what is coming up next and what the topics are going to be about. Let's give it up to our single mother's who are raising male children, and any children on their own for that matter!

Heavy Hitter Wednesday!!!

Due to some server issues I encountered on Saturday, Oct. 16th, I was not able to do a show, on top of that I was kind of under the weather. Actually I am still under the weather, but the show must go on tomorrow night!! The topic of tomorrow night's show is "Single mothers raising male children". So I am hoping to have a good show, now that my show will be on during "primetime" hours. So I am hoping to gain more listeners between these hours. I am experimenting with the time, because I can do up to 2 hours, or even an hour and a half, which I think that I am going to start out with, because I don't want to over do it. My next topic will be about the topic that I know and love and that is "Music". I can do multiple shows about that topic alone..lol So definitely stay tuned to the Facebook fan page about the topics and features of each show. Definitely check here as well!!

Reko's RETURN to Blog Talk!

Get ready, because I am about to make my return to Blog Talk Radio. With featured artists, business owners, hot topics and MORE. So be on the look out. I will be back on October 16th, and I will announce the time by the middle of the week. I plan to come with more interesting things on the show. Hopefully, more people will participate, and spread the word, because I want this show to be a good one. On my Wednesday night shows I will have "Ms Sunshine" on my show, who will be chillin' with me and coming with some interesting topics. I will be using this show as a open forum for positivity, and discussions on topics that are important today. If you listen to previous shows then you know that I touch on different topics. I will also be having folks on who are in the entertainment industry who can give us the 411 on what's hot and what's not. Looking forward to having a wonderful show, and having more listeners. I will not be doing "Reko's Hip Hop News" any longer. It will be combined with "Real Talk With Reko", where I will feature artists on my show, and will also have discussions on REAL topics! I know that they won 1st place in the istandard producers contest, down in Florida, but they posted the video amd I was totally proud of them. Young men knowing what they want to do with them selves EARLY. That's what I like. I definitely hope that I get to talk to them again, esp. since they have dropped this wonderful album. The Dramatic Return.......

The dramatic return of Reko to the internet airwaves, will take place the upcoming month of October. Somewhere around the 17th or 18th of the month. With this new show, I will be offering my guests the option of calling into the show, or having me call them, to speak with them. Also I will have more features available to me with this new show, so I am trying to get prepared. I will be combining both of my blog talk radio shows into ONE show. Although it will be more talk, than music, I will be featuring BOTH. So I will still be featuring new artists and hopefully interviewing them also, so that they can spread the word about their music. I will have more options as well for guests that call in, and hopefully will come up with wonderful new topics, so that I can widen my listener base, and not just get the most listens in the podcasts, but live listens as well. The test will be the actual listens. People say that they support you, when in actuality they don't. I will be able to tell. Again the proof will be when I return. I hope that there will be a fantastic return as well as more participation as well.

Last show for Reko's Hip Hop News 8/31

Last night I did my last show for Reko's Hip Hop News for a few weeks, I am going to take the time to gain a listener base, and create another lane. Because no one at all listened to the show that I did last night. I am pretty much talking to my self and big up'n folks who don't even support my shit. However, it is all good. Temptin' Tuesdays with Reko-the 6th Installment was broadcasted on 8/31, and I featured my boy Tut Grady, whom I am hoping will grace the show with his presence shortly. I am thinking about hitting up some of my friends that I have interviewed and trying to get them to give me some sound bytes so I can create some new intro music for Reko's Hip Hop News, and also thinking about changing the name. So definitely stay tuned for that. I am also seeking to create things that will have listeners coming back for more, so it is a great thing that the archived shows are available as podcasts and on itunes for listening pleasure. So far on the show I have interviewed 5 artist, which of whom I am writing re-cap articles of shows, and they are being featured on www.acrossthefader.com, which is currently down, and I am trying to find out why, because I currently have 2 articles running on there right now, about De-Capo Music Group & Phenom. so hopefully it will be back up soon. If anyone can give me some feedback as to what needs to be added to the show to make it a better experience for the listener. GIMME SOME IDEAS!

My interview with Internal Quest! 8/3

I was excited to talk with Internal Quest, because he does everything!! He is a certified studio engineer, producer, and emcee. A triple threat to the music industry. So throughout the interview I giggled excessively, due to slight nervousness. However, he was very charismatic, and a gentleman who answered my questions efficiently. It was funny that towards the end of the interview, he had answered all of my questions rather quickly, so I was at a loss for words, where I asked him did he have any questions for me...lol He asked me how long had I been doing blog talk radio in which I supplied an answer. I totally enjoyed talking with him, and he also told me to be on the look out for everyone on his record label, After Image Records. I vowed that I was going to show up one day at the Jersey Sound Lab and see exactly what goes on there. I was impressed that he explained to me about what would happen if I was an up and coming artist, and I wanted to work with the Jersey Sound Lab. Which is where he does most of his work. I have had the opportunity to speak with some very talented people, and I hope to see them rise to success beyond their wildest dreams. Quest also thanked me for being a vehicle to play artists music, whom we might not hear on regular radio, and that is exactly what I am trying to do, because you never know who might be listening. I also told him that he is always welcomed to call my show!!

My interview with Rico Rachet 7/13

I got the opportunity to speak with Rico Rachet, and he was a very charming young man, who I would say was well on his way to becoming a recognizable name in hip hop. Starting his hip hop career in 2008', he has already managed to make guest appearances on 30 mixtapes, and had one of his own under his belt that had been downloaded a million times. Currently working on his following mixtape, he let me know to be on the look out for the entire Get Rich Fam'. To hear these interviews you can always hit up my blog talk radio shows by going to the blog talk radio site and listen to the previous shows, or get them on itunes. Myself and Mr. Rachet corresponded before we did the interview through emails, and was very eager for our interview to jump off. I called him the guy with the "powerful" voice and that I felt that it would carry him far in his hip hop endeavors. I have been so proud to talk with some gracious and humble young men who are obviously talented. Stay tuned for more things to come on my radio shows. Hopefully, I will be able to come with some more positive interviews, and more great things so that I can get even more listeners, and more participation on my shows. I definitely think that it is great that you are able to access the shows if you miss them.

PHENOM interview July 6th!

I got the opportunity to inerview PHENOM on July 6th, and I must say I wasn't as ready for it as I thought that I was....lol People called in to show support and to ask Phenom questions. I was able to ask him a few questions before all the calls started coming in. I enjoyed talking to him as well. A Brooklyn, NY native who is a Howard University graduate. Sounds like a very intelligent young guy. I was quite impressed with him as well, and how he was a featured artist on HOT97 TV in 2009', and #1 Chart artist for ourstage.com(affliate of MTV) with his single "Back With You". I hope that he continues to be successful, and continues to create his own lane in hip hop. If you go to my blog talk radio show, "Reko's Hip Hop News" you can tune into this interview. I corresponded with his manager before the interview and he called in, which was great. The funny part was when a friend called to talk to him before he called into the show...lol

The Hip Hop Socialite Interview 6/22

I was able to interview "The Hip Hop Socialite" on June 22nd, 2010'. I enjoyed interviewing her, esp. since she is like my little sis', but also because she has been busy, doing the journalism thing as of lately, and has been involved in alot of things. She also tells me about the future of the Street Disciplez radio show, in which she is a co-host, plus they are doing a special return to the Internet airways July 13th. So it was a treat to discuss with her what is going on in the NY.

De-Capo Music Group interview 6/08

On Tuesday, June 08, 2010 I had the opportunity to interview this two-man production team, and I totally enjoyed interviewing them. They are originally from Buffalo, NY, and currently attends Full Sail University in Orlando, FL. At the tender ages of 19, they are well on their way to being successful. Besides aspiring to be producers, they are also artists, and song writers. They hit me off with the first track, "You Ain't Gotta Worry", and it instantly became one of my favorite tracks. Recently, they hit me off with one more single entitled "Look At Me Now", featuring another artist by the name of Parish Carter, and I am already waiting for the anticipated album that they have been working on, that is due to be released this summer. Very positive, and respectable young men, who I hope becomes successful. I was very thankful for the opportunity to get to interview them before they blow-up-uate...lol I have also recently written an article about them, because I am so impressed with them, and our interview. Be on the look out for these two.
