Real Talk With RekoSuave.....

I don't know what is up with this blog, but I will post anyway. I have been doing ok on the Power 357 radio network which is Powered by acrossthefader.com and tomorrow night I will be back to doing Real Talk With Reko at 9:pm. I have been trying to continue to do some things that I like to do, and to include some participation. I will continue to update this blog and keep people up to date with the things on my show. Friday on RekoSuave's SuckafreeZone I did an hour of celebrating the Wu Tang Clan, and on the talk show tomorrow me and my cohost MacGirl coming out of the Chi will talk about everyday news topics and issues. I hope that I can keep this going and be consistent with it. Thanks for listening and an support anyone can throw my way.

Well well well, this is my third week on Power357 and I am enjoying playing my classics. So with all that I am on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays 4:pm-6:pm. You need to create a profile on acrossthefader.com or for smart devices get the free app TuneIn so that you can stream the station anytime by typing in across the fader. There are also other shows on the site that you can tune into. So again create a profile on acrossthefader.com and check out all the different shows, personalities, and pages to the site that has multiple interests. I am going to try to  keep this blog a little more up to date, and I am going to see if I can install a player on this site so that it can be accessible on here as well. Join me on the above mentioned days, playing hip hop and mostly the classics. I will be starting to feature certain artists on Fridays, and plan on having a breaking session where I play those hits that we used to pop lock and break dance to. So I have some things coming up, so stay tuned and I promise to up date more.

 

Hey Hey Hey!! Again the year 2015 is the year of change, and I will be still doing Real Talk with Reko on the Radio Front platform, however in the coming months I will be working on another show called; RekoSuave's SuckerFree Zone, where I will be playing music and running my mouth on this one. I will be letting folks know the times and days shortly here and on my Facebook radio page, so stay tuned for that. I am trying to round up some drops from my friends for the SuckerFree Zone so that I can get that station poppin, then I will begin to get new topics for Real Talk With Reko. Look out for me this summer, because me and my trusty dusty(laptop) will be in some other areas this summer, gettin some of the scoops around town. Ayeeee! STAY TUNED!

Hey there! I am sitting here trying to come up with a topic for my show this evening. Yesterday I did a 46 minute show practically running my mouth for the entire time. Hopefully, with new and more shows I can pick up the pace. To send topics to me to discuss on air please do not hesitate to send to; realtalkwr47@gmail.com. I am trying to stick to positive topics, and doing a little less about relationships, which is what alot of people talk about on a constant basis, and I just so happen to not be feeling that right now. Hey Hey Hey, it is 2015 and  once again there will be new things poppin' off. I will be returning to internet radio and hopefully this time it will be successful. My show will be on a new interface called Radio Front One, of which I have to thank my boy Richard Alexander III, who has diligently worked with me on numerous occasions to provide a good platform in which to create my show. Looking forward to some new burning questions and hot topics to talk about on air, and with no holds barred conversations. I look forward to the laughter, the fun, the different opinions and more participation. LET'S GOOOO!! I am ready and hopefully will be doing my first actual show by the end of the week. 2015 I'm ready!

Tonight I will have the pleasure of talking with "Tre the Travesty" this evening on my show talking about Top News, and really Bizarre news. I will include the broadcasts after we have recorded the shows on this blog for later listening. Also Tre will be coming back at us with his own show all about Sports. On RekoSuave Radio, so be on the lookout for that, with a website also. Even though RekoSuave Radio is generally based in Washington, DC, Tre is coming to us from Charlotte, NC. Hey, hey, hey.....Just wanted to update you all and tell you about the new station that I have coming. It will be still "Real Talk With Reko", and I will be back on. The name of the station will be WDMV, and I hope that people will be able to participate with this project. Soon I will also be taking inquiries from folks that want to have their own show on the network. Once everything is on and poppin' I will be able to provide folks with details on how to conduct their own show on the network. I am still learning and testing out some things. I will try to do an actual broadcast tomorrow evening as a test so that I can begin to iron out some of the kinks and see what I can do better, and what not to do when creating this broadcast. As you all can see I am not going to give up on this because it is something that I enjoy doing in my spare time. I hope to have some new and exciting things going on with this so just bear with me. Also I should have a new co-host on with me, probably by December, so be on the look out for that. Check out a little sample below!

 

Plus Sized World Fashion.....do's and don'ts

Last night me and Ms. Sunshine was joined by Ms. Macgirl as we chatted away about plus size fashions, the do's and don'ts of how to dress for certain occasions. It was a very lively discussion, and interesting as we also touched on weight loss and some simple things that you can do to lose weight. Although stress can be a factor to rigorous weight loss, however not recommended. I enjoyed speaking with the ladies and sharing a laugh or two about experiences with choosing what we wear, and even down to the shoes that we wear and how we are now more focused on comfort than impressions.  I guess that all goes with age. I am sure that we will find another topic to talk about for the next show.  I have been enjoying being back on blog talk radio and since it is something that I enjoy doing, I plan to continue to do it and come up with great topics to talk about . So join us on the next topic even call in and give your opinion and join in the conversation.

2nd Term Presidency + Politics

Last night me and my guest Dezze talked about Politics, the President's 2nd term, and generally all the things that are going on in this world today. I enjoyed having Des as a guest, and chatting away about things that we have seen and heard in our different parts of this U.S.of A. I enjoyed the topic and I can't wait to have him on again to discuss other things. I am also enjoying being back on Blog Talk Radio doing the talk show, and I hope to do some more great topics and definitely get to a place where I can do a music segment. I can't forget about my music. I will try to do another show soon. Ms Sunshine and I have locked in Sunday as our night but I also want to do shows with other hosts on other nights, and I know sometimes I will be doing them alone but it is cool, it is something that I love to do. It let's me get into some of the things that I am clearly opinionated on.  I hope that more people become involved this time around, and I plan to put more work into it if I can. Good Show!

The Return to BTR!

Well this weekend I returned to BTR, and so far the couple of shows that I have done have been fun and I am glad that I am back on there. Got my co-host Ms. Sunshine back in the pocket, and hopefully will have some more good topics to come. Last night's topic was about whether or not you are too old to date and is there even an age limit. We both agreed that you are never too old, but at a certain age you make the choice to feel that you are too old too date. We will have more topics and I am hoping that we can get it together. If you have any ideas or suggestions there is a Facebook fan page for the BTR show, "Real Talk With Reko" to keep up with shows, dates, and topics. Hopefully I will be doing music segments as well where I will be interviewing artists and more. I am glad to be back, and I am not as nervous doing it no more like I used to be.

2013' coming back!

I know, I know that it has been a minute since I graced the Internet radio air waves, well this time I will be back on the air FOR REAL! Starting hopefully this weekend coming so be on the look out for me! I hope that I am able to get back into action like I was doing at one time, and I need another mic and another set of headphones so that we can get it on and poppin'. I am looking forward to this new format and being with the fam' acrossthefader.com, acrossthefader.fm, acrossthefader.net, it will be ON!! So I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be back with my opinionated self, rockin' the VETS of hip hop, and some new stuff. So I will be doing my thang on the airwaves pretty soon. Coming back to the Internet airwaves.....Ayeeee!

Hey, Hey, Hey its yo' girl Reko and I am returning to the Internet airwaves SOON!! (TBA) I can't wait, but I am trying to think of things to add to the show because it will be on the fm airwaves and I have to have enough material to fit into 2 hours, because that will be what I will be shooting for. I plan to broadcast at various spots, events and more.  So I am hoping to get back to doing something that I happen to like doing.  The funny thing is, is that I actually be nervous just before I go on air, but I am hoping that this time around I am not as nervous, because I have done it before.  I am going to do a test run hopefully by the end of this week so that I can get a feel of the new show and time slot.  I am going to be glad that I am going to be back. I will announce when all this will take place and it will be on acrossthefader.fm so definitely be on the look out for the announcement. With this show, I am hoping to talk to and interview more folks, and expand the audience. This DEFINITELY will be a HIP HOP show, just so people won't get that twisted, because even though I love a plethora of music genres, HIP HOP happens to be my baby and the era I grew up in, so folks might as well get ready, however, I will still have a couple of segments within a show where there will be topics raised as well. So I am trying to do it all within the 2 hour frame. I am sooooooo open to new ideas, so if anyone wants to help me I am listening! I want you all along with me on this new adventure!!

Knowledge with Doc Ice of U.T.F.O. & Whodini!

Last month I had the HONOR of meeting a Legend in the world of Hip Hop. I got to hear a little bit of history and knowledge about the music business and the world of radio. Doc was the teacher this day, and I was like the "eager beaver" student. I truly enjoyed it, and was loving the energy that Doc has. As a teenager, I grew up to Whodini, and U.T.F.O., and I ain't going to lie Doc was always one of my favorites, with his rhyme style and most definitely his dancing.  Heck I thought I was Roxanne back in the day, that is how serious it was with me...lol Doc was here to participate in the Throwback Theatre event we had going on here in the DMV area, so I was able to talk to him just before we all played 70's-80's trivia and watched the movie "Foxy Brown". I was equally impressed that he has new music that he has coming out, and it was refreshing to see a couple of his new videos. I have been so happy seeing most of my vets, whom are still here, bless us with some new music and literally snatch back the culture that continues to be "tarnished" in these days and times. I was a bit nervous standing too close to Doc while doing the interview, but with his energy and smile, he made it easy, and I just stood in awe listening. I was so nervous I couldn't even put my purse down...lol That was one of the best times I have had, and one that will stand out for me always! 2012' Welcome to New Ideas, New Happenings!

Well, we are  now officially in a new year! 2012' already starting to look up with all things happening in the new year. My radio shows are currently being converted over to http://www.acrossthefader.fm/ and I still have a current profile on http://www.acrossthefader.com/. So I encourage all the hip hop heads to stay up on EVERYTHING hip hop, by going to those sites and making profiles. I am still on Krupt Mob Radio with none other than Mr. Bumpy Knuckles! Last night I got to witness just some overall HIP HOP GREATNESS! Bump landed the mothership at the De La Soul DugOut on ustream last night and did his Damage Control. I didn't know what I was in store for, but it certainly was a reunion, that had me just about teary eyed. Maseo (De La Soul) and Bump have reconciled, and the party was in the Dug Out last night! I was mad that I had to leave, because I found out that the party went on until 2 in the morning, and I left at 11:pm.  It was soooo hard to leave because I was in the chatroom having a ball and loving the fact that I recognized just about everyone in there. Awww man, stuff like that just made my night last night, and left me with some wonderful thoughts about how much I actually missed the Mobsters.  I got to get myself together this year where I will be able to do all the things that I like to do, and have fun with it.  So I will be preparing to have the time of my life in 2012', and will keep everyone updated on some of the things going on, and with my radio show. I am hoping to get back on air LIVE myself! ~KMR~

Forgiveness-Is it for you or others?

If you missed the show Saturday night, then you missed a very heavy topic.  Me and MacGirl4Life tackled the topic of Forgiveness and whether or not it is really for you or the other person.  This was a very touchy topic for me, because learning how to forgive is a obstacle for me on a daily basis. I struggle to forgive all of the offenses that have been done to me by other people.  Also during the show MacGirl4Life also had stories of other people who also struggled, and conquered their offenses, and moved on with life. This was actually a very emotional topic for me to discuss, given that I have a strong issue with it.  I need to learn how to forgive people and just pray for them, because whatever they do to you, there are consequences, it might not happen right away, but those folks will eventually pay for their offenses. This was a topic that actually needed to be touched.  It might even need a Part 2....lol  I totally enjoyed speaking with Ms. Macgirl4Life, and having this discussion.  Stay Tuned for MORE to come from Real Talk With Reko!

Sexual Frustration with your mate/partner/spouse- revisited!

If you missed this show on Wednesday, then you missed me and Ms Sunshine, revisiting a topic that I have actually spoke on before. The first time that I spoke about this topic on my show, I was pretty much discussing it myself, but this time I had another voice to add some more opinion to the discussion. I was also delighted when one of my Breakfast Club friends showed up and added her views and opinions. I definitely enjoyed conversing as always on blog talk radio and I am hoping to continue with the good topics and guests to the show. I had found some more information online about the topic and was able to find a detailed description about exactly what Sexual Frustration was, and elaborated on some of the experiences that I have concerning this specific topic. One of the points I raised was about the worst sexual frustration being with your spouse. I have happened to have had an issue with my ex husband concerning sex, and it caused an even bigger strain on the marriage, along with all the other outside issues we were having. I was thinking as well as our guest caller was, that what man would not want constant sex on the regular. I was hoping that a man would call in and shed some light on the topic, however, not one did. Because if a man is getting it on the regular, and frequent, then I feel that he shouldn't have to look elsewhere for that gratification. Never the less, this was a good topic to revisit! STAY TUNED!!
