Male and Female Role Reversals

If you missed Wednesday night's show, you missed Reko and Ms Sunshine kickin' it as usual as we discussed the topic Male and Female Role Reversals within a marriage/relationship. Of course two independent women aren't going to agree with a man staying at home, not doing anything, or even tending to the children or keeping the house clean. I pretty much prefer to have teamwork going on, than to not to be a stay at home wife, or have a stay at home dad. It was fun being back on the air, especially talking about topics and playing music. Unfortunately we didn't have anyone come into the chatroom or call in, but hopefully that will pick back up in future shows. The beginning of the show was a little botched, but I will continue to work at it till I get it right. I definitely had a ball with Ms. Sunshine, and we have many great topics coming up. So I hope that people come through to listen and laugh with us.

Smooth Sunday!

Today, I was back on the air trying to get back used to doing my shows on blog talk radio. I was kind of excited to just be back on and doing something that I love to do. I didn't do as much talking as I normally do, this was more of a cool-out session, as I invited listeners to call in or hit me up in the chatroom, to let me know what they had jumpin' off this weekend for the 4th of July. I am going to a cookout tomorrow, because I was summoned to come and make my famous deviled eggs...lol  I enjoyed being back on the internet airwaves, and letting people hear that Reko does indeed have soft side as well. I am not always such a hothead...lol Sometimes when I am driving and riding along I shared some of the music that I like to vibe to. It seems like I never left blog talk radio. And I am glad that I am able to get back on there and see the nice upgrades that they have apparently added since the last time I did a show. Which was back in February of this year. I am sooo looking forward to doing the shows with Ms Sunshine and MacGirl4Life, and possibly another co-host. Ms Sunshine and I get our giggle on, on Wednesday nights, and I am hoping for more guests, more co-hosts, and many more laughs. STAY TUNED!!

The Blog Talk Radio Return!

Today I did a practice run on Blog Talk Radio and I realized how much I missed it!! I can't wait to return for good, and try to make the show better than before. Ms Ms Sunshine will be returning, MacGirl4Life will be returning, and hopefully I will gain another co-host so that we can get this show poppin' again. I think that I am looking at a July 1st or 2nd show this week to kick things back off. I am enlisting some of my DJ friends to send mixes so that I can play them in the background on the show, and I plan to play everything from classics, to some of the new tracks out today. Haven't decided what topics to speak about first, but I am thinking and will have something in place soon! I hope to have wonderful guests, and co-hosts this time around. I really enjoyed doing my show, but was just hoping that I am able to pull it off a second time, and gain more listeners to the show.  In addition to practicing, I have been back to listening to other blog talk members show, to support and check out what things they have going now, and taking notes on the things that I need to improve. So, my welcome back show should be wonderful, and I can't wait to return!!

Returning to Blog Talk Radio!

Real Talk With Reko will be returning to Blog Talk Radio SOON! Yes I am coming back. People that I have interviewed in past shows, have asked when was I coming back, and I said something about missing blog talk radio on twitter yesterday and they expressed that they missed me also. So I think that it is time to get back on my internet radio grind, and have some fun.  I have to admit that I enjoyed doing the shows, talking about different topics, and laughing with co hosts and guests. Hopefully, this time it will be even more fun with the return of my co-hosts Ms SunShine, and MacGirl4Life, and other guest co-hosts. I hope to come back with some great shows, that everyone can listen to, relate to, and laugh with. I am also about to create another blog that will have much more on it, concerning this blog, other music programs that I support, and keeping the music of hip hop alive, as well as reviewing all genres of music. I have alot to talk about and catch up on, so I wanna thank any and everyone that has ever listened to my shows, and got something out of it including a laugh. I am ready to have some fun!!

Maybe changing Networks!

Well, I have ended my half a year ride with Blog Talk Radio.  Who knows I may return. I am currently debating on the switch of Internet networks in which to continue on with my show.  I am always looking for new and creative ideas for my show.  I definitely enjoyed interviewing, having co-hosts, playing some music, and mostly running my mouth...lol I am hoping that I will like the network change despite the issues that I had been having with the Internet period. The blog talk radio player will remain on this blog so that you can go back in the archives of the different shows and topics. I have had a ball with all the folks that I have met along the way, that called into my show, and participated with all the support.  I love all of you, and I hope to be returning with a better show, so keep your fingers crossed.  I will also keep this blog going with writings about different radio shows, artists, DJ's, and articles I support and are involved with.  I also am getting back interested in my writing, and will be releasing another blog full of passionate stories and writings.  So be on the look out for "Passion Fruits".  I will be rather busy in the up coming months with family, but hopefully finding the time to up-date my blogs.  STAY TUNED!

I Love My DJ's!

If you missed the show Wednesday night, you missed a treat. Me and Ms Sunshine talked about music and DJ'n, and what we enjoy about it. We got calls from DJ Chanin of Krupt Mob Radio, and DJ Dre' of Fierce Entertainment. So it was a wonderful show! I enjoyed it especially because it is a topic that is very near and dear to my heart. I am planning to probably do a Part II to this show because I realized that with my shout out, I still managed to leave out some key DJ's who have put it down over the years. I was so tickled that some of my DJ's paid a visit to my show. I truly enjoyed the conversation, and I am thankful that my co-host doesn't mind backing me up at all times. So cudos to Ms. Sunshine. My next show may be about the pending Valentine's day coming up! We shall see. I am not a big fan of Valentine's Day in fact it seems to be just another day for me, never celebrated it. Maybe I will buy myself something just because...lol I thank all the listeners of the show, and everyone that has supported my show thus far! I definitely enjoy doing it with my spare time! It's 2011' and I return to BTR!

2011' is here, and it is time that I return to my BTR show! What great way to start things off by talking about a topic that is nearest and dearest to my heart....MUSIC! The theme of the show will be "I Love My DJ's episode1. Which is something that I can talk about with much enthusiasm. So I am definitely looking forward to it, along with some mixes of some of my favorite DJ's. Joining me will be my Wednesday night co-host Ms. Sunshine, who will also talk with me about the music that she likes and her possible favorite DJ's. I am hoping to get a couple of my DJ friends on the show so that they can tell us what it is exactly that they do(which I already know), and what sets them apart from other DJ's. I am also putting together a HUGE shoutout list to all of the DJ's that I know and love, and what their blends and vibes do to me. I am hoping that this show will be most interesting.
