Forgiveness-Is it for you or others?

If you missed the show Saturday night, then you missed a very heavy topic.  Me and MacGirl4Life tackled the topic of Forgiveness and whether or not it is really for you or the other person.  This was a very touchy topic for me, because learning how to forgive is a obstacle for me on a daily basis. I struggle to forgive all of the offenses that have been done to me by other people.  Also during the show MacGirl4Life also had stories of other people who also struggled, and conquered their offenses, and moved on with life. This was actually a very emotional topic for me to discuss, given that I have a strong issue with it.  I need to learn how to forgive people and just pray for them, because whatever they do to you, there are consequences, it might not happen right away, but those folks will eventually pay for their offenses. This was a topic that actually needed to be touched.  It might even need a Part 2....lol  I totally enjoyed speaking with Ms. Macgirl4Life, and having this discussion.  Stay Tuned for MORE to come from Real Talk With Reko!

Sexual Frustration with your mate/partner/spouse- revisited!

If you missed this show on Wednesday, then you missed me and Ms Sunshine, revisiting a topic that I have actually spoke on before. The first time that I spoke about this topic on my show, I was pretty much discussing it myself, but this time I had another voice to add some more opinion to the discussion. I was also delighted when one of my Breakfast Club friends showed up and added her views and opinions. I definitely enjoyed conversing as always on blog talk radio and I am hoping to continue with the good topics and guests to the show. I had found some more information online about the topic and was able to find a detailed description about exactly what Sexual Frustration was, and elaborated on some of the experiences that I have concerning this specific topic. One of the points I raised was about the worst sexual frustration being with your spouse. I have happened to have had an issue with my ex husband concerning sex, and it caused an even bigger strain on the marriage, along with all the other outside issues we were having. I was thinking as well as our guest caller was, that what man would not want constant sex on the regular. I was hoping that a man would call in and shed some light on the topic, however, not one did. Because if a man is getting it on the regular, and frequent, then I feel that he shouldn't have to look elsewhere for that gratification. Never the less, this was a good topic to revisit! Flirting-Harmless or Dangerous?

WOW! If you missed last night's show on Flirting you missed a treat. MacGirl4Life and I, weighed heavily on the topic of Flirting-Harmless or Dangerous, and the fact that flirting is pretty much obsolete in today's world. MacGirl4Life gave hilarious accounts of stories where flirting turns bad, and leads up to other drama. I also expressed how just about all facets of media plays a BIG part on how the courting process should go, in which there is literally no flirting what so ever. People are so quick to get instant gratification, and not even go through the motions of the actual flirting, the chase, the dating, none of that. It is now either you are with it or you are not. We never got the problem of what ever really happened to flirting. Which I am still looking for and expecting when a man comes and tries to get to know me. I have to really know a person before things can progress to a friendship, and even to the next level, and that may mean a committed relationship. Which is definitely an enigma in these days and times. Hilarious show. I totally enjoyed the conversation with MacGirl4Life, and if you missed this one you can always go back and listen to it! GOOD SHOW!

Women's Health Show!

Tonight Ms Sunshine and myself discussed the current health concerns, exercise, and eating habits that women normally struggle with. Finding information on the internet, I found some very disheartening things being said about the way African American women are struggling with health care and we are the leading community with the most illnesses. We also discussed good natural ways to exercise, and find nutritional things to cook and eat. Towards the end of the show we had a guest call in by the name of "William" who came in and talked about the things that he does for his fiance' and himself as far as exercising and that he supported his fiance' in all her health consciousness. Which is a good thing, however, for someone like me, I have to find the motivation, determination, and persistence to do something regarding my health. No one cares about me like me. Over all this show makes it's points, and the bottom line is that African-American women definitely need to step their game up in the health-wise area. Because we do not need to be spear-heading the illnesses, and having the worst of the illnesses at that. The list I found of illnesses involving black women had to be at least 25-30 illnesses deep. So ladies, need to definitely become aware of their health, and try to correct it before there won't be time to do so!! GET FIT! 

My One on One with Mr. Magic! ...and TWIN!

OMG! I had a ball talking to Mr. Magic about his comedy! We were eventually joined by his co-host Twin who also had me cracking up. Mr. Magic is a comedian, who is also my Blog Talk Radio neighbor. His show The Magic Hour is a show that sticks out on Blog talk Radio because of the amount of work that is put into his show, by himself, and co-hosts Twin and Lady V. They have a wonderful website, and have created animated series of their radio personalities, which is truly a good thing. To top all of that off, Magic has also moved to Ustream as well. So there are big things about to  really go on with The Magic Hour show! As I questioned Magic, he was very detailed with his answers, and above all else funny. Twin came in and added his comedy and it was a regular laugh-fest....lol If you missed it, you can always hit up my show archives, and comment about the show. I had a hilarious time asking Magic questions, and at times asking Twin questions as well. When I asked Magic who his biggest influence was in comedy  he said Martin Lawrence. Normally comedians say Richard Pryor off the break, but when he said Martin Lawrence I could see him being in a similar role on tv and the movies just like Martin Lawrence. I wish Magic, Twin, and Lady V much more success with the radio show and I am looking forward to hearing them on satellite radio SOON!!

Relationship Issues!

The latest episode revolved around Relationship Issues. I began the show talking about finding ways to solve relationship problems. I read out the points and elaborated a little about how I felt about each point. Then I played "Tired" by Kelly Price, which kind of echoes my feelings these days about everything including relationships. MacGirl4Life joined me, in which I reiterated the points that I made before her arrival. We continued to talk about relationships today, and what is basically wrong in today's world. MacGirl also came with points about being incompatible, and the reasons that you definitely should separate, given the issues of the two not being the right persons for each other. I also spoke about Dating mistakes women/men make when it comes to dating, and there were many. As I read them MacGirl and myself kind of elaborated on each sign. Unfortunately, no one called in or came in the chatroom, but it was still a good show. However, I was hoping that a male caller would call in so that we could get some of their input. Or even another woman to share her experiences good or bad. Maybe the next show we will gain some more calls, and interest in the show. STAY TUNED!!

Heavy Hittin' Wednesdays!

If you missed Wednesday night's show, you missed a treat. I had Ms. Sunshine co-hosting and we had a couple of calls from Mr. Alydee_QB, and MacGirl4Life. Another hilarious show, as we discussed the topic What Women want in the Bedroom. I am truly enjoying being back on Blog Talk Radio, and coming up with different topics. Ms Sunshine talks about telling your mate what you want because we are all adults. I reiterated that, that may have been one of my problems in the bedroom, because of the lack thereof. This was sort of a note taking session for me also, because I myself have not experienced a romantic evening, more or less  can actually say what I really want in the bedroom. I think that this was a good topic, and maybe we will maybe come back with what men want in the bedroom, which I know will also be an interesting topic. Other points made on this topic, were ideas that might be wonderful such as traveling to other destinations, changing the ambiance of the room, simple romantic ideas.  Which would actually compliment the things that women really want in the bedroom. Alydee said that women want to feel good in the bedroom, and we want to have massages, and to scream ooowweee daddy!
